Dr Dayal Mirchandani, MD, DPM FIPS a psychiatrist in Mumbai India founded the Behavioural Science Network.Dr Mirchandani has been practicing Behavioural Medicine Since 1981 and has been Teaching Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy since 1984.
Dr. Mirchandani is the author of Healing Heart Disease Naturally (IBH 1997) and Super Performance Learning published by India Book House Publishers. He has co-authored "Group Therapy for Addiction" and "Preventing Drug Abuse" a manual for teachers for IFLD Paris. His book Healing Heart Disease Naturally is in its third ediction (Pustak Mahal 2007)
He has been a Member of the Board of Studies of S.N.D.T. and Bombay Universities and on the Committee for the selection of teachers in Psychology at Bombay University. He was Hon. Head of Dept. of Psychiatry at GPiramal Memorial Hospital Mumbai. He was invited by the United States Information Service (USIS) to participate in its International Visitors Program in 1990.
He co-founded the National Addiction Research Centre (NARC) Mumbai in 1989 and continues to be a trustee member of the governing body of NARC. He conducted extensive research on the brief therapy of addiction.
He has written extensively in the lay on Mental Health and Behavioural issues. He has had a regular column in Gentleman Magazine, Lifepositve Magazine, Education Times (Times of India). He was an online advisor on the Mid-Day site for a number of Years. At present he has a regular bi-monthly column " ASK Dayal" in Readers Digest Magazine (India).
He has conducted numerous training programmes in Clinical Hypnosis and hypnotherapy for the Behavioural Science Network. He regularly runs Self-Awareness and Transformation groups. Workshops on Healing and NLP. He trained with Dr Richard Mc Hugh in NLP in1987 and has been teaching it since then.
